I can't launch the game from here though, as it tells me that it can't find the 'steam://' protocol. The interesting bit is that if I run Origin.exe directly it does not crash and I can check out the settings. If I am quick enough to select 'Mass Effect: LE' in my library and press 'Play' it simply sends that command to steam which then goes and opens Origin again (since it has crashed since).Then again, Shepard did come back from the dead.
Even if Commander Shepard could unite all surviving species in the galaxy, only a miracle could save them. Earth is under attack by a monstrous race of gigantic living ships known as the Reapers. This is interchangeable with both official Proton 6.3, official experimental Proton and Proton 6.16-GE-1 I couldn't find my issue reported in here, so here we go:
